The floor is in

The floor was installed today. It is a laminate with the look and feel of slate.

The counter top is here

Finally, after a week of no action, the counter top is installed.

Anticipation ....

After one week of nothing happening, it all starts up again tomorrow.
The plan calls for;

- Counter top installation on Monday,
- Floor installation on Tuesday,
- Remaining electrical and cabinet fixin's from Wednesday on.

The final push starts.

Electrical work and backsplash arrival

Remember the rat's nest of wires earlier? It's all tidied up now.



We picked up our backsplash tiles today and here is a sample of what they look like. The idea here was to tie in the white from the cabinets, the grey from the walls and the black from the countertop.

Let there be light

Today the template for the granite counter is made and the pot lights are installed. I took these photos with no flash.

The drawers are in the cabinets are complete for now. The finishings will be done after the appliances, counter top and floor are complete.
